Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Submit proof of externship hours from an accredited program.
• Ability to verify graduation from an accredited school.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• ACLS Certification required for Cardio Department.
• Valid government or State ID.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to attendance policy and site coverage as needed.
• Provide vital signs, interview patients/families, and chart results.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in assessing and planning patient care.
• Maintain clear communication with providers, supervisors, peers.
• Ensure orders are directed to appropriate departments.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and sutures removal.
• Process medication and DME authorizations for patients.
• Handle walk‑in triage and age-appropriate interventions under supervision.
