Job summary

Legacy Community Health is seeking a Bilingual Patient Assistance Representative at the Montrose location in Houston. You will support clients through Ryan White Grant programs, helping them access medications and health coverage.

Responsibilities include gathering documentation for enrollment, maintaining enrollee lists, and ensuring timely communication. The role emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and mission-driven care in a community health setting.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1 year of healthcare experience or 3 years of customer service experience (preferably in healthcare).
  • Knowledge of healthcare terms and HIV medications desired.
  • Insurance and/or COBRA knowledge.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • MS Excel and MS Word proficiency.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and support programs under the Ryan White Grant, focusing on medication and health insurance assistance.
  • Meet with eligible clients to gather necessary documentation for program enrollment.
  • Maintain an accurate list of program enrollees and ensure timely communication with clients.
  • Process applications or payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Document patient care activities in electronic records (Epic Pioneer, ARIES).
  • Ensure grant standards with timely validation of data points.
  • Perform reviews and audits to support accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with peers to provide optimal patient care.
  • Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Bilingual Patient Assistance Representative - Montrose (Job Overview)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM) | Rotating Saturdays (8AM-3:30PM)

As a Bilingual Patient Assistance Representative with Legacy Community Health, you'll become a vital member of our team, supporting clients through the Ryan White Grant programs. Your role will empower individuals by helping them access essential medications and medical coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and support various programs under the Ryan White Grant, focusing on medication and health insurance assistance.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum (1) year of healthcare experience OR Minimum (3) years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terms, HIV disease and medications to treat HIV and associated illness desired.
  • Insurance and/or COBRA knowledge.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Bilingual-Spanish required.
