Job summary

Legacy Community Health is seeking a Bilingual Patient Assistance Representative in Houston to support Ryan White Grant programs. You will assist clients with ADAP, LPAP, EFA, and health insurance, gathering enrollment documents and maintaining accurate records.

The role emphasizes timely communication and compassionate service in a community health setting. Responsibilities include processing applications, documenting care in Centricity/Pioneer/ARIES, and ensuring data validity for grant

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1 year healthcare experience or 3 years customer service in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terms, HIV and related medications helpful.
  • Insurance and COBRA knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication.
  • MS Excel and MS Word knowledge.
  • Bilingual-Spanish required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Ryan White Grant programs (ADAP, LPAP, EFA, Health Insurance Assistance).
  • Meet with eligible clients to gather enrollment documentation.
  • Maintain current list of program enrollees and timely client communication.
  • Process applications or payments accurately and promptly.
  • Document patient care in Centricity, Pioneer and ARIES.
  • Ensure grant standards via timely data validation.
  • Conduct reviews and audits to support accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with peers to provide quality care.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties.

Bilingual Patient Assistance Representative - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

As a Bilingual Patient Assistance Representative with Legacy Community Health, you'll become a vital member of our team, supporting clients through the Ryan White Grant programs. Your role will empower individuals by helping them access essential medications and medical coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and support various programs under the Ryan White Grant, focusing on medication and health insurance assistance.
  • Meet with eligible clients to gather necessary documentation for program enrollment.
  • Maintain a current and accurate list of program enrollees and ensure timely communication with clients.
  • Process applications or payments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Document patient care activities comprehensively in electronic records such as Centricity, Pioneer, and ARIES.
  • Ensure grant standards are met through timely validation of required data points.
  • Perform reviews and audits to support accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers and colleagues to provide optimal care to patients.
  • Engage in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum (1) year of healthcare experience OR Minimum (3) years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terms, HIV disease and medications to treat HIV and associated illness desired.
  • Insurance and/or COBRA knowledge.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Bilingual-Spanish required.
