Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Parts Specialist in Amory, MS to deliver high-level service to retail and installer customers and support store management. The role includes greeting customers, assisting with merchandise selection, handling cash, processing returns and exchanges, and performing various in-store tasks and services.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Multitask while handling customers on the phone and in the store.
• Spanish language proficiency highly desired.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service ASE certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot).
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist in selection of merchandise.
• Assist managers/installer service specialists for professional customers as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Provide excellent service to customers calling the store and quote prices per policy.
• Responsible for cash drawer, accepting payments, making change, and processing card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns as per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates, freight receival, stocking shelves, fronting and facing, cleaning.
• Perform daily operational tasks like merchandise returns to distribution center and stock adjustments.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and requirements are met.
• Perform in-store services (install wipers, test batteries, scan codes, etc.).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed and driving eligibility is met.
• All other duties as assigned.
