O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, and collect money on COD deliveries. The role includes handling returns, maintaining vehicles, and using handheld devices for processing deliveries with signatures and mileage updates.

Schedules require punctuality; bilingual candidates are encouraged and will support store management with customer service and stock-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily vehicle inspections before operating.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and monies collected.
• Pickup customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Report problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked at day’s end.
• Clock in/out per policy; perform other duties like stocking, merchandising, errands.
• May assist customers, act as cashier, or help with merchandising when needed.
