Job summary

The San Diego Center for Children is seeking a Bilingual Parent Partner/Peer Support Specialist I to provide therapeutic services and support to families in wraparound teams and individual meetings. The role partners with wraparound team members and community partners, with an average caseload of 10–12 families, to advocate, educate, and connect families to needed services.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English/Spanish.
• Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience as a consumer or caregiver of Children’s Behavioral Health Services or related services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, advocacy, crisis intervention, case management, and other therapeutic services in a community-based fashion.
• Coordinate care with wraparound team members and community partners.
• Maintain accurate, timely case records per Medi-Cal and SDCC policies.
• Translate documents and coordinate care with Spanish-speaking families as needed.
• Participate in wraparound team meetings and family engagement activities.
