Job summary

LaAmistad is seeking a Part-time Parent Liaison to bridge communication between Latino families and our afterschool programs. You will translate communications, accompany families through school processes, and support staff with logistics to ensure families are informed and engaged.

The role requires fluency in Spanish and English, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. A driver’s license and reliable transportation are also needed.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
• High school diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor’s preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; proficient with MS Office and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for families, ensuring bilingual communication.
• Translate and distribute program information to families and staff.
• Assist staff with logistics, parent needs, and on-site support for tutoring sessions.
• Help families navigate school systems and access services.
• Maintain confidential records of parent communication and student needs.
