Job summary

Easterseals Joliet Region is seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Parent Educator to partner with families, provide guidance, education, and resources that promote healthy child development and strengthen parent-child relationships. You will conduct home visits or office sessions, deliver evidence-based curricula, and facilitate workshops.

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to work some evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Experience working with children and families, preferably in education or social services.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide home visits and/or office-based sessions with families to support parenting skills and child development.
• Deliver evidence-based curriculum and activities tailored to each family’s needs.
• Facilitate parent workshops, support groups, and community events.
• Complete documentation and maintain case files in compliance with program requirements.
• Collaborate with schools, social service agencies, and community partners to support families.
