Job summary

Easterseals Joliet Region in Illinois seeks a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Parent Educator who will partner with families to provide guidance, education, and resources promoting healthy child development and stronger parent-child relationships.

You will work one-on-one with parents, lead group sessions, and connect families with community supports—empowering them to be their child’s first and most important teacher. Expect home visits or in-office sessions and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience with children and families in educational or social services is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and work independently.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide home visits and/or office-based sessions to support parenting skills and child development.
• Deliver evidence-based curriculum and activities tailored to each family’s needs.
• Facilitate parent workshops, support groups, and community events.
• Complete documentation and maintain case files in compliance with program requirements.
• Collaborate with schools, social service agencies, and community partners.
