Job summary

Manteca Unified School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to provide instructional support to limited or non-English speaking students in the specified language, helping them meet learning objectives under teacher supervision. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma, plus 48 semester units or an AA/BA degree, or certification of paraprofessional proficiency; resume and signed letters of recommendation are requested.

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:15 a.m.

Job description

Under the direction of the assigned administrator and under the general supervision of teacher and/or other certificated employee, provides instructional support to limited or non-English speaking students in the specified language to accomplish learning objectives. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Proof of AA or BA Degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 Semester units

• Certificate showing successful completion of a basic Paraprofessional proficiency test.

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO INTERNAL CANDIDATES.

PRE EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENT (At Employee Cost If Hired)

• TB Clearance
• Fingerprinting

Minimum Qualifications/Experience-education And/Or Traning

High School Diploma (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education) or Equivalent

AND Forty-eight (48) semester units or Associate Degree or higher or pass proficiency requirements established by the District.

• Letter(s) of Recommendation
• Paraprofessional Testing (Proof of AA or BA Degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 Semester units OR Certificate showing successful completion of a basic Paraprofessional proficiency test. Candidates submitting College Degrees or Transcripts from outside of the United States must also attach a certified evaluation of the document(s) verifying equivalency.)
