Job summary

Joliet Public Schools District 86 is seeking a Bilingual Paraprofessional for the 2026/2027 school year in Joliet, Illinois. The full-time position runs 6 or 6 ½ hours per day for 9 months, reporting to the Principal and Assistant Principal along with other staff.

Qualifications

• Illinois para educator license or PARA endorsement requirement.
• High School Diploma or 30 college credit hours preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English to support students.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for classroom activities under teacher/principal direction.
• Assist with instruction and supervision during classroom activities.
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce new skills.
• Maintain documentation and data to support progress.
• Perform general clerical duties and operate office equipment.
