Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Huntington is seeking a delivery associate to serve wholesale and retail customers, determine needs, and recommend products. You will deliver from Store #1927 in Huntington, WV, using company vans or pickup trucks, while maintaining safety and accuracy in transactions and documentation.

The role emphasizes customer service, timely delivery, and adherence to routes and schedules, with opportunities to tint and mix products to customer specs and to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have a “meets expectations” (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal.
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
• Process sales transactions accurately and consistent with policies and procedures
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
• Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs
• Adhere to assigned routes and following time schedules
• Comply with all laws, traffic regulations, safety procedures when driving a vehicle
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries
• Operate equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
