Maximus in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Bilingual Community Outreach Specialist (English/Spanish) for an on-site role. You will connect individuals to Medi-Cal resources, guide enrollment, and help families make informed coverage decisions.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 0–6 months of experience, valid CA license, and willingness to travel locally. Strong communication in English and Spanish is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required and 0–6 months of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Willing and able to travel throughout local counties.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Valid CA Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of the local community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process intake referrals via calls, voicemail, email, or other designated channels.
• Respond to inquiries, provide general program information, and refer clients or providers to appropriate agencies or resources.
• Perform initial eligibility screening for services using defined criteria and procedures.
• Enter, update, and maintain application, intake, and case information in applicable databases and systems.
• Assist customers in accessing services aligning with program objectives including educational and vocational training, medical support, childcare, transportation, mental health services, legal aid and related needs
