Job Description

Effective October 15, 2021, all employees/contractors/interns/volunteers are required to provide proof of COVID vaccination.

The Staff Therapist works within a recovery framework, providing individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based practices, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed care to help individuals reach their recovery goals. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing recovery plans, providing therapy, participating in team meetings, and maintaining clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct recovery-oriented screenings and assessments, including for substance use challenges.
• Provide individual and group therapy addressing addictive behaviors and mental health issues.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and supervision to ensure coordinated care.
• Develop strengths-based treatment plans focused on recovery.
• Complete assessments and reports using structured screening tools.
• Maintain community resource information and share with the team.
• Ensure timely clinical documentation and compliance with guidelines.
• Participate in training, supervision, and agency meetings.
• Adhere to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Manage caseload effectively, including outreach and care coordination.
• Participate in on-call rotation and flexible scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
• Master's degree (license preferred) and at least 3 years of experience in behavioral health/substance use.
• Certification as an addiction counselor or co-occurring disorder professional preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and substance use diagnoses.
• Valid PA criminal, FBI, and child abuse clearances.
• Current ACT 31 Child Abuse Reporting certification.
• Experience in mental health field (minimum 2 years).
• Understanding of child and family development, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed.
• Licenses such as LCSW, LSW, LPC preferred.
