Qualifications

• Fluent in reading and speaking both English and Spanish.
• Previous retail/optical experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge.
• Able to explain preliminary examinations to patients.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere in the office and pre-test room.
• Explain types of preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform pre-exam testing.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings.
• Review prescriptions and patient information with clinicians as needed.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment in the doctor’s and pre-test areas.
