Job summary

National Vision’s America’s Best brand seeks a part-time Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant fluent in English and Spanish. You will perform pre-screenings and testing to assist the Doctor’s examination and maintain efficient patient flow in a retail eye-care setting.

Responsibilities include explaining preliminary exams, reviewing patient information, and promoting screenings. Training is provided; 2–3 days per week, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Prior retail experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or optical is preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge and terminology.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care and smooth patient flow.
• Maintain professional appearance and pretest room.
• Explain types of preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform tests prior to doctor examination.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings.
