National Vision's America’s Best in Cary, NC is seeking a Part-Time Optometric Technician and Medical Assistant who is bilingual in English and Spanish. You will support the optometrist with pre-screenings and testing, ensuring smooth patient flow and quality care in a friendly retail/eye-care setting.

No prior optical certification required; comprehensive training provided. Strong communication, organization, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment will help you succeed and

Qualifications

Fluent in reading and speaking English and Spanish.
Previous retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
Able to learn optical terminology.
Capable of instructing customers clearly.
Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
Detail oriented with multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure high quality patient care.
Maintain professional office appearance and pretest room.
Explain to patients the types of preliminary examinations.
Complete necessary paperwork and perform testing prior to doctor examination.
Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings to eligible patients.
Review prescriptions and patient information and coordinate with staff as needed.
Ensure equipment in exam rooms is properly maintained.
