National Vision's Eyeglass World in Phoenix is seeking an Optometric Technician – Medical Assistant (Part Time) who is bilingual in English and Spanish. You’ll support doctors, perform pre-exam tasks, and help customers see clearly and look their best.

This role emphasizes patient care, strong communication, and organization in a fast-paced retail/eye care setting. Previous optical experience is a plus, but willingness to learn and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Retail/optical experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn optical knowledge and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high quality patient care.
• Maintains professional office and pre-test environment.
• Explains preliminary examinations and procedures to patients.
• Completes paperwork and conducts testing prior to doctor examination.
• Promotes visual field testing and retinal screenings where appropriate.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information; refers to optician/doctors as needed.
• Maintains accurate patient records and ensures equipment is properly maintained.
• Orders supplies and adheres to store and corporate policies.
