Job summary

The San Diego LGBTQ Community Center is seeking a bilingual On Duty Crisis Responder to provide on-site crisis interventions, case management, and resource navigation for LGBTQ+ communities in San Diego. Will coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to connect clients to housing, health, and social services.

Responsibilities include triage, short-term case management, and collaboration with staff to ensure timely documentation and budget adherence, with emphasis on equity and trauma-informed

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in case management and client systems navigation.
• Knowledge of Housing First, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems navigation and short-term case management to households.
• On-demand client telephone and walk-in interventions.
• Staff The Center's monthly food distribution and weekly Project Compassion events as needed.
• Maintain regular contact with landlords, negotiate payment arrangements, and mediate landlord-tenant issues.
• Complete timely program documentation and reporting to meet contractual goals and grant deliverables.
• Enter data into regional HMIS and utilize CIE for case management.
