Job summary

University Settlement Society Of New York is seeking a part-time Social Worker for the LEARN Older Adults Programs in Manhattan. Located at 175 East 4th Street, NY 10009, the role supports seniors through assessments, care coordination, and community outreach.

The candidate will collaborate with Village View residents, health partners, and our team; bilingual ability in English and another language is required (Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Cantonese, or Mandarin).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MSW preferred.
• Bilingual English and Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Cantonese or Mandarin required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with older adults preferred.
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse community and as part of a team.
• Crisis intervention, prevention and resolution skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct assessments, referrals, home visits, develop case plans.
• Coordinate health and care management for shareholders.
• Establish strong relationships with outside agencies for program collaboration.
• Create monthly calendar of events, schedule presentations and activities.
• Oversee outreach to Village View residents.
• Meet with shareholders and board on a regular basis to seek input and feedback.
• Meet with Supervisor weekly, attend professional development trainings.
• Other duties as requested by Director.
