Job summary

University Settlement Society Of New York is seeking a part-time (Partial Year) role to support classroom activities in Brooklyn. Associate degree in child development, Elementary Ed. or related field, or HS diploma with two years' experience.
Experience working with parent groups (volunteers, PTAs, AmeriCorps).
Bilingual in English and Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

Support group leaders and program aides with classroom activities as directed by the DYCD program Director.
Plan and implement theme-based projects and developmentally appropriate activities.
Maintain positive relations with host school, parents, staff and children.
Adhere to University Settlement policies and Health Department guidelines; uphold confidentiality.
Supervise arrival, snack and dismissal of assigned unit; manage supplies inventory.
