Job summary

University Settlement Society of New York is seeking a dedicated outreach-focused professional to recruit and support center-based families and children. You will facilitate referrals, translate as needed, and collaborate with community partners to strengthen services.

The role involves coordinating with parents, supporting program evaluation, and assisting with trainings and events in a dynamic urban community setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Development or related field.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Bilingual Spanish/English or Chinese/English is preferred.
• Computer skills and ability to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Outreach and Recruitment of Children.
• Assess needs of center-based families, facilitate referrals and follow-up of referrals.
• Develop and maintain linkage with community agencies.
• Accompany center-based parents to fair hearings and related appointments as interpreters.
• Assist with meetings, workshops and special events.
• Assist with Policy Council parents.
• Assist with program evaluation implementation.
• Provide support in parent volunteer program.
• Attend meetings, workshops on/off site.
• Maintain confidential child files and complete written documentation timely.
• Assist in classrooms when needed and maintain home visiting caseloads.
• Perform general office duties and other duties as assigned.
