Job summary

Optimus Health Care seeks a full-time Nutritionist/Dietitian to educate patients in Bridgeport, CT, across adult, pediatric, and prenatal populations. The role coordinates nutrition education programs, represents the clinic at events, and ensures timely delivery of high-quality care.

The Nutritionist will work with multidisciplinary teams, promote wellness education, and maintain comprehensive patient records while engaging diverse communities with Spanish language skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics approved by ACEND.
• Completed an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program (6–12 months).
• Three years of related healthcare experience; prenatal nutrition knowledge a plus.
• Passed the CDR exam and maintains continuing education.
• Bilingual: Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Promote a referral system to engage patients with nutrition education programs.
• Provide nutritional assessments, counseling, and education to support healthy lifestyles.
• Coordinate prenatal nutrition activities with clinical teams and document outcomes.
• Present at health fairs and develop educational materials for distribution.
• Meet with staff to support nutrition service integration and program development.
• Maintain EMR documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
