Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee a high-volume warehouse supporting BMW in Greer, SC. You will lead supervisors, coach teams, and drive safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3–7 years of supervisory experience in logistics or manufacturing, strong communication skills, and proficiency with WMS and Microsoft Office. You will report to senior leadership and foster continuous improvement on the floor.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 3–7 years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, transportation, or production operations.
• Experience managing supervisors, leads, and hourly employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a hands-on leadership approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop supervisors, team leaders, and hourly employees within a fast-paced warehouse operation.
• Manage daily operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations are met.
• Monitor labor, productivity, inventory, and key performance metrics to drive operational success.
• Coach, mentor, and hold employees accountable while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, employee development, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and safety standards.
• Partner with customers and senior leadership to resolve operational challenges and support business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Analyze operational data and prepare reports related to labor, productivity, quality, and inventory performance.
• Maintain a strong floor presence and provide hands-on leadership to support day-to-day operations.
