Job summary

Texas A&M International University in Laredo, TX invites applications for a Graduate Research Assistant (Psych&Comm) to join the BLEND Lab. You will help lead a project on the neurodevelopmental trajectory for multiplication fact learning in bilingual children, under supervision, while balancing lab work with coursework.

The role includes collecting EEG data from child participants, assisting with data management and basic analyses, administering assessments, and helping recruit families.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in the Master’s of Science in Psychology program at TAMIU.
• Maintain a TAMIU GPA of 3.0 for graduate students.
• Must meet SAPP requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, biology or related discipline.
• Some experience with EEG data collection.
• Some experience administering standardized assessments.
• Some experience using PsychoPy or related stimulus presentation tool.

• Collect high-quality EEG data from child participants.
