Brief Description

Fred Finch Youth & Family Services is a great place to work. Our employees help those with mental health issues every day. We are currently hiring a Bilingual Spanish‑Speaking Mental Health Therapist (either Mental Health Therapist I or II). The role involves providing individual, family, and group therapy, rehabilitation, case management and medication support for adolescents and transition‑age youth (TAY) ages 15‑25 in community settings.

What You Will Do

Under administrative and clinical supervision or with consultation and direction, you will deliver behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to participants and their families. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, conducting individual, group and family therapy, performing routine and emergency assessments, crisis intervention, and managing a caseload of children, youth and young adults. You will also provide consultation to staff, programs and agencies and assist with related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Therapist I: 1 year of internship experience in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school‑based or community‑based setting with children, youth or young adults.
  • Therapist II: 2 years of post‑master’s professional experience in a similar setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record and vehicle insurance.
  • Therapist I: Valid registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Therapist II: Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Pay/Benefits at a Glance
  • Pay Range: Therapist I: $70,304 – $89,434.15 per year; Therapist II: $77,112 – $98,416.62 per year. Compensation will be based on experience and other permissible factors.
  • 9% bilingual stipend for those who pass the exam and provide services in Spanish.
  • 21 PTO days per year
