Job Summary
The Staff Therapist is responsible for providing clinical services to children, adolescents, and/or adults, as assigned, to help Josselyn achieve its vision of Mental Health For All. The clinician is accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.
Essential Responsibilities And Metrics
- Provides high-quality services of therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and client-centered consultation to clients and their families.
- Maintains direct service hours per month of 60% for advanced clinicians and 56% for others.
- Keeps detailed, confidential records of client sessions, progress, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Creates IMCANS (IATP) Assessment, completes IATP within 30 days of initial meeting with client, modifies and reviews as needed, updates and records IATP in CIS as needed, and ensures updates are completed prior to six months due date.
- Completes the LOCUS in a timely fashion.
- Enters all Progress Notes into the medical record as soon as possible, but no later than three business days after the date of service.
- Keeps EMR calendar and other primary sources up to date.
- Coordinates care with other clinical staff, both internal and external providers.
- Attends and participates in clinical presentations and all required meetings.
- Responds to outreach and coordination regarding client fees and payments.
- Participates in Accreditation and Certification processes, Committee Work, Strategic Planning, and Community-Related Services as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Clinically related graduate degree, including an M.A. in Counseling, MSW, MSMFT, Psy.D, Ph.D in Psychology, or a degree qualifying for a QMHP in Illinois.
- Three professional references that reflect ability to perform clinical work.
