Job summary

Homeland Language Services is seeking interpreters to provide interpretation for LEP patients, families, providers, and staff across Wisconsin on-site. The role emphasizes intercultural mediation, patient privacy, safety, and teamwork.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of interpreting experience, fluency in English and the target language, and a high school diploma; additional certifications are a plus. Flexible scheduling and local opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of interpreting experience or internship required.
• Fluency in English and language of interpretation; professional interpreting skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certifications (e.g. CMI, CHI, CCHI) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation for LEP patients, their families, providers, and staff.
• Advocate for LEP patients' access to health care services and assist with intercultural mediation.
• Maintain patient privacy and safety and demonstrate teamwork.
