Job summary

homelandls is seeking HMONG - ENGLISH interpreters to join our on-site team in Milwaukee, WI. You will interpret in medical, legal, educational, and social services settings, advocating for LEP individuals’ access to services while delivering culturally sensitive care.

The role requires 1+ year interpreting experience, a high school diploma (certifications are a plus), and strong English and language proficiency. A flexible schedule and on-site work are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of interpreting experience or internship program.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications are a plus (CMI, CHI, CCHI, 40-hour course).
• Fluency in English and language of interpretation, with professional-level interpreting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation for LEP individuals in medical, legal, educational, and social services settings.
• Advocate for LEP access to services and ensure culturally sensitive care.
• Maintain privacy and safety and support teamwork in daily operations.
