Qualifications

• Must be able to demonstrate competency in the foreign language required.
• Previous interpreter experience preferred.
• Must have an interpreter certification through NBCMI, CCHI, or TN Language Center within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Translate written materials from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English.
• Provide interpretation and translation of medical terminology to patients and families.
• Collaborate with patient, physician, and care team as part of a team-based approach.
• Completes required education assignments annually and passes the medical interpreter assessment.
