Bilingual Medical Call Center Representative - Northwest Austin

Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $21.00/hr

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments in the computer system. Complete patient registration for new accounts and update existing accounts. Perform clerical duties involved in maintaining patient medical records according to policies and procedures.

Essential Functions
  • Schedule and reschedule patient appointments, adhering to insurance rules and physician guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care.
  • Record new patient demographics and update existing accounts in Athena.
  • Answer inbound calls, redirect as needed.
  • Create EMR entries for cancellations.
  • Cancel appointments as directed.
  • Complete scheduling tasks, messages, requests, referrals, and faxes.
  • Return voicemails and follow up with patients.
  • Confirm appointments.
  • Audit physician schedules for discrepancies.
  • Process online appointment scheduling.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience
  • Experience in a medical office setting
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office, and related applications
