Job summary

Marathon Health Inc is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. The role supports the physician in delivering high-quality patient care and acts as both front desk and clinical support to ensure a seamless patient experience.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, graduation from an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification. Phlebotomy experience is preferred, with opportunities within a patient-centered, value-based care model.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or other related program
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration is strongly preferred. MA certification or registration is required for employment in States where certification/registration is required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at time of start date
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures that exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned and stocked
• Reviews previous medical information and gathers any relevant updated health information from the patient to inform the provider
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures; work with labs for tests
• Prepares and administers approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, documentation, referrals, check-in/check-out, etc.
• Records data in the medical record according to guidelines
• Process test results and provide timely results via e-message, mail or phone
• Participates in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible patient groups
• Maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments
