Job summary

The Staff Pad in Pomona, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Primary Care department. This full-time role supports patient intake, basic clinical tasks, and coordination of preventive care, with a focus on compassionate, efficient service.

The ideal candidate holds Medical Assistant certification and CPR, demonstrates excellent customer service, strong computer and data entry skills, and the ability to work with diverse populations in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification and CPR certification are required.
• Excellent customer service and professional phone communication skills.
• Strong computer, keyboarding, Windows, and data entry skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients warmly and provide care with dignity, kindness, and compassion.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to enhance the patient experience.
• Coordinate access and completion of preventive care (HEDIS) for each scheduled patient using the i2i Huddle List.
• Identify care gaps and initiate next steps for standing order items.
• Coordinate with medical providers on additional items requiring provider orders.
• Collect and document patient vitals, medical history, and chief complaints accurately in the medical record.
• Assist medical providers with exams, procedures, room setup, and in-room support.
• Verify and update pharmacy information at each visit and update records accordingly.
• Perform and document vision and hearing screenings as needed.
