Job summary

Impact Care Access Network Inc in Pomona, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians by preparing charts, pulling notes before visits, and assisting with routine patient care alongside nurses and physicians.

You will track lab results, help with prescriptions, manage medical supplies, set up equipment, and keep rooms clean. Candidates should have MA training, current BLS/CPR, strong customer service, and EMR experience (eCW preferred) to thrive in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program is strongly preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from an accepted training organization.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology, infection prevention, universal precautions, and patient safety.
• Ability to accurately obtain and document vital signs in EMR/EHR.
• Ability to room patients and prepare them for examination by the provider.
• Experience documenting patient information in an EMR/EHR system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visits by pulling charts and notes, and setting up medical equipment.
• Clean instruments and equipment after use.
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs.
• Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures.
• Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties.
