Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Colorado. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high‑quality patient care and a welcoming guest experience, combining medical duties with front-desk responsibilities.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of MA experience, completion of a MA program, CPR/BLS certification, and preferably MA certification. Spanish fluency is preferred due to interactions with Spanish-speaking patients.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date
• Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked
• Greet patients and collect relevant health information for the provider
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections and assist procedures
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed
• Support care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care
• Front desk duties: scheduling, record requests, referrals, conversions
• Record data in medical chart per guidelines and ensure accuracy
• Communicate test results to patients via e-message, mail or phone
• Assist with outreach to engage eligible patient groups
• Maintain clinic supplies and equipment for treatments
