Job summary

AssociatesMD Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant fluent in English and Spanish to join our healthcare team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment, supporting medical staff, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine, with strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and vital signs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in clinical settings such as dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, medication administration, and vital signs measurement.
• Experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients with a friendly and professional demeanor in both English and Spanish.
• Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs and collecting medical histories.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding.
• Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, specimen collection, X-ray procedures, and basic life support.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately and efficiently.
• Support physicians with ICD coding, documentation, and other administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and update records accordingly while maintaining confidentiality.
• Assist with inpatient and outpatient procedures across various departments including PICU, OR, Geriatrics, and Level I/II trauma centers when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
