Job Description

We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Position Summary

This position assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, training new staff, recording patient information, drawing blood, preparing specimens, and assisting with patient care and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Communicate with insurance companies for billing procedures
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare treatment rooms
• Provide information, services, and assistance to patients
• Register new patients and verify/update patient demographics
• Record medical history, vital signs, and test results
• Perform screening tests and draw blood samples
• Train new staff members
• Maintain supplies and sterilize equipment
• Assist physicians during examinations

Qualifications

• Associate's degree; CMA certification preferred
