Job summary

Humana is seeking a Medical Assistant in Augusta, GA who serves as the first contact for patient care, handling administrative tasks and clinical duties including vital signs, phlebotomy, vaccines, and EMR documentation.

Support physicians and advanced practice providers while delivering care within certification scope. Standard procedures with some independent discretion. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8AM–5PM; salary range applies with potential bonus; TB screening program is in place.

Qualifications

• MA school completed or CMA/RMA cert, or 5+ years experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; pass proficiency exam.
• CPR certification required.
• Phlebotomy and medication/vaccine administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as certified, under supervision.
• Obtain vitals and discuss symptoms with patients.
• Administer medications and vaccines per protocol.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for testing.
• Document information in the electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers.
