Job summary

NYU Langone Hospitals is seeking a Medical Assistant (FGP) in Rego Park. The successful candidate will support physicians and Advanced Care Practitioners, prepare patients and rooms, take vital signs, draw blood, and perform data entry tasks.

Bilingual Russian or Spanish is highly preferred. Role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant program or MA certification, and competent English communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or MA Certification preferred.
• English proficiency and computer literacy are required.
• Bilingual Russian or Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient care and room prep.
• Validate patient identifiers and collect vital signs.
• Draw blood and collect lab samples per policy.
• Handle administrative tasks: scheduling, phone calls, data entry.
• Transcribe visits into EPIC and support patient flow.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and ensure clean exam rooms.
