Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required for this clinic location.
• Minimum 2 years of medical assistant experience.
• Experience with EMR/E-ClinicalWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients and document basic medical history in the EMR system.
• Triage patients.
• Update medical records.
• Coordinate care with specialists and outside facilities.
• Assist during medical examinations.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments.
• Perform blood draws and prepare specimens for lab pickups.
• Administer immunizations and injectables.
• Check medication expiration dates per policy.
• Schedule appointments.
• Answer phones as needed.
• Cover at other clinics when needed; mileage reimbursement applies.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and professionalism.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
