Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care in El Paso, TX seeks a Medical Assistant to be the first contact for patient care, handling administrative tasks and clinical support onsite. You will report to the Center Administrator and contribute to various administrative, operational, and patient-care activities.

The role requires MA certification (CMA/RMA), 1+ year experience, and bilingual English/Spanish skills, with tuberculosis screening obligations and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Active CMA or RMA certification from a recognized body.
• 1+ year MA experience and phlebotomy exposure.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification and medication administration experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type.
• Record medical history and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist providers with procedures.
• Conduct specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Prepare and administer medications under supervision.
• Document in EHR/EMR including HEDIS/Stars.

Skills

Bilingual English/Spanish

CPR Certified

Phlebotomy experience

Medication administration experience

Education

CMA or RMA certification (AAH, AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA)
