Job summary

SAC Health in Murrieta, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced, teaching clinic environment. You will support clinical staff, take vitals, and perform routine tests under supervision, while maintaining organized medical records and patient flow.

The role emphasizes culturally responsive care, collaboration with providers, and participation in a broad health program portfolio. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, and Epic EMR experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; CMA preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• 1 year medical office experience preferred; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred; ability to translate medical information.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Obtain vital signs and collect medical history.
• Perform basic patient testing within MA scope (throat cultures, EKGs, TB testing, immunizations, hearing tests, etc.).
• Process authorizations for services and assist with patient forms.
• Maintain labs and exam rooms, prepare instruments and supplies.
• Assist provider with procedures and document care in the chart.
• Follow up on imaging and lab results, educate patients on tests.
