Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as Medical Assistant, preferably primary care.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Advantage populations and HEDIS measures.
• Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a dynamic clinic.
• Experience serving diverse patient populations and handling challenging interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist examination and treatment under physician guidance, ensuring patient comfort.
• Record medical histories, vital signs, and relevant information accurately.
• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies for visits.
• Perform basic clinical tasks: BP, height/weight, specimen collection.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and injections per physician orders.
• Coordinate scheduling of appointments, tests, and referrals.
• Update EMR to keep patient data current and confidential.
• Process prescription requests after physician approval.
• Return patient calls to relay information or gather details.
• Communicate professionally with patients and team members.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with LabCorp and Quest.
• Travel between locations to provide coverage as needed.
