Job summary

Oak Valley Hospital District in Oakdale, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Occupational Health clinic. You will support patient relations, handle phone communications, verify patient information, and prepare patients for examination with basic vital signs.

Working with a nurse or provider, you assist in exams, participate in daily huddles, and help prepare labs and medical reports. Bilingual English/Spanish is required; MA certificate and BLS are needed.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant Certificate.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and verify purpose of visit; prepare patients for examination with basic vitals (BP, weight, temperature).
• Provide clerical support and assist in examination and treatment under supervision of provider or nurse.
• Participate in daily huddle; prepare labs and medical reports before patient arrival; report patient history summary.
