Job summary

Allergy & Asthma Associates of South Florida, P.A. seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in a fast-paced clinic. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), capable of multitasking, and experienced in outpatient care.

Responsibilities include vital signs, venipuncture where needed, EHR updates, injections, allergy testing, spirometry, and patient education. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CMA or RMA certification,

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish for patient communication.
• 3+ years of MA experience in outpatient settings.
• CMA or RMA certification required; CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to other office locations as needed.
• Open and close the office.
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before/after patient appointments.
• Take and record vitals (BP, temp, HR, SpO2, weight, height).
• Maintain patient records in the EHR.
• Administer allergy injections per protocol and document doses.
• Operate spirometry and perform pulmonary function tests.
• Perform sinus echo diagnostic tests.
• Administer nebulizer treatments.
• Perform allergy skin testing (percutaneous, intradermal, patch).
• Administer medications and injections as directed.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and universal precautions.
• Answer calls and respond to inquiries professionally.
• Educate patients on treatments and follow-up care.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
