Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in healthcare/medical center setting.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, preferably MD Vita.
• Experience in clinical settings, preferably primary care or community health.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to serve the local community.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, histories, and recording symptoms.
• Assist providers during examinations by handling instruments and supplies.
• Manage patient records with confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Schedule appointments, follow up referrals, and coordinate communication between patients and staff.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, maintain equipment and supplies.
• All other duties as assigned.
