Job summary

Humanitary Medical Center Inc. is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians and keep clinical operations running smoothly at our Pinellas Park site.

The successful candidate will take vital signs, assist during examinations, manage patient records, schedule referrals, and help with basic lab work and medication administration. Strong EHR skills, Spanish bilingual ability, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare center experience.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Proficiency with EHR systems, preferably MD Vita.
• Clinical experience in a primary care or community health setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Spanish bilingual abilities to serve the local community.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Summary:

Humanitary Medical Center is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
• Manage patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Schedule patient appointments, follow up on referrals, and coordinate communication between patients and medical staff.
• Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and maintain clinical equipment and supplies.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years of experience within the healthcare medical center industry.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. preferably MD Vita.
• Previous experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a primary care or community health environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
• Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, to better serve the local community.
