Job summary

USA Clinics Group seeks a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain workflow across multiple clinics in the Bronx and Yonkers. The role requires national CNMA certification, bilingual English/Spanish abilities, and comfort with a fast-paced setting.

You’ll support physicians with procedures and ensure an excellent patient experience. The position offers full-time hours, weekend coverage, and training with Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role required.
• Experience with vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and related duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.
