Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a physician, as specified in the skills inventory.
• Assists with planning and implementing direct patient care; documents care provided in the medical record.
• Collects and documents vital signs, height/weight, and chief complaint; records information timely and accurately.
• Provides general patient care; prepares patient for examination and assists with treatments and procedures.
• Administers medications as directed using the five rights.
• Takes patient phone calls, triages appointments, and stocks rooms.
• All care is performed under physician supervision and documented per policy.
• Supports physician and healthcare team to ensure quality of care.
