Job summary

Soma Medical Center is seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to support patient care and clinical operations in Lake Worth, TX. You will prepare patients, take vitals, document in the EMR, assist providers, and help with procedures.

You'll provide patient education in English and Spanish, ensure rooms are stocked, adhere to safety and privacy standards, and contribute to a friendly, efficient patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication with patients and staff.
• Ability to accurately document medical history and reason for visit in EMR.
• Experience with vital signs and basic clinical procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and document history in EMR.
• Measure and record vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
• Assist providers and staff with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and injections per protocol.
• Perform CLIA-waived testing according to standards.
• Collect specimens and document procedures accurately.
• Provide bilingual patient education in English and Spanish.
• Maintain infection control and standard precautions.
